The cost for the 3 days of competition will be $270,000 COP. The practice round will be free of charge.

NICO OPEN 2025 ELIGIBILITY

Players must be at least 12 years old by the first day of competition, must not have turned 20 by the last day of competition, and must not have begun university studies.

The rankings from the Colombian Golf Federation, the World Amateur Golf Ranking (WAGR), and the Rolex AJGA Ranking as of July 2, 2025, will be the main criteria to determine eligibility.

The following male players will be guaranteed a spot in the Nico Open:

Top 700 in the WAGR
Top 200 in the Rolex AJGA Ranking
Top 40 in the Colombian Golf Federation Junior Ranking
Top 10 in the Colombian Golf Federation Pre-Junior Ranking (ages 14–15)
Top 3 in the Colombian Golf Federation Ranking for ages 12–13
Top 2–3 junior players in WAGR from each Latin American country

The following female players will be guaranteed a spot in the Nico Open:

Top 400 in the WAGR
Top 150 in the Rolex AJGA Ranking
Top 20 in the Colombian Golf Federation Junior Ranking
Top 10 in the Colombian Golf Federation Pre-Junior Ranking (ages 14–15)
Top 3 in the Colombian Golf Federation Ranking for ages 12–13
Top 1–2 junior players in WAGR from each Latin American country

As the host club, Club Campestre de Medellín has the right to invite up to 6 eligible players. Deadline to submit their names: same as the exempt player registration deadline.

NOTE: Being pre-qualified does not exempt the player from completing the registration and payment process as described in this document.

Registration Closes: August 24, 2025

If a PRE-QUALIFIED/EXEMPT player does not complete their registration by August 24, 2025, their spot will be subject to availability.

REGISTRATION Procedure on JUNGLE.GOLF for NON-pre-qualified/NON-exempt players for the Nico Open 2025:

Registration Opens: July 30, 2025
Registration Closes: August 30, 2025

Registration Fee per Player for the Nico Open 2025:

$220.00 USD

NOTE:

CRITERIA USED BY THE ORGANIZING COMMITTEE TO SEND PAYMENT LINKS TO NON-EXEMPT PLAYERS WILL BE:

Player’s position in the WAGR, AJGA Rolex, and Colombian Golf Federation Rankings, prioritizing the highest-ranked players.
If a player does not complete their registration before the “Registration Closing Date,” participation will be subject to availability.

IMPORTANT:

NO REFUNDS WILL BE ISSUED ONCE A PLAYER COMPLETES THEIR REGISTRATION PROCESS FOR THE NICO OPEN 2025 AND IS LISTED IN THE OFFICIAL TOURNAMENT FIELD.

Nico Open 2025 Qualifying Tournaments:

The Organizing Committee may call for qualifying tournaments, which will be announced in due time on the official Nico Open 2025 website.

Only players registered for the tournament will be eligible to participate in these qualifiers.

NOTE:
The Organizing Committee reserves the right of admission for any participant at any stage of the registration process.

Nico Open 2025 - Format of Play:

The tournament will be played in individual stroke play format over 54 holes.
Players will play 18 holes per day, with rounds consisting of 9-hole groupings.

Depending on the number of participants, the Organizing Committee may implement a cut of up to 50% of the field after 36 holes.

The cut line will be determined and published for each division along with the pairings for the second official round.

Caddies during the Nico Open 2025:

The use of personal caddies is NOT permitted during the tournament.
As per the Host Club’s policy, each group will be accompanied by one caddie responsible for maintaining the course in optimal condition. The caddie may assist by cleaning players’ golf balls when permitted, raking bunkers, and fixing divots.
However, players are ultimately responsible for taking care of the course.

Caddie fee: 120,000 (local currency) for the entire tournament, to be paid at registration. This fee includes snacks and refreshments for the caddie.

Push carts or electric carts may be used to carry golf bags.

TIES:

In the event of a tie for first place in either division, a sudden-death playoff will be played until a winner is determined.
The playoff holes will be defined by the Organizing Committee.
If a sudden-death playoff is not possible (or in the case of ties for 2nd and 3rd place), results will be determined by comparing scorecards:

Best score on the final round
If still tied: holes 10–18
If still tied: holes 13–18
Then: holes 16–18
Then: hole 18, hole 17, hole 16, and so on, back to hole 1
If the tie persists, the same process will be followed using the previous round’s score, and if necessary, the first round.
If still tied, priority will be given to the player who completed their registration first.

TEE TIMES:

Tee times will be published on JUNGLE.GOLF and at the Host Club one day prior to the start of the competition, starting at 3:00 PM.
The Organizing Committee may modify the number of holes played per day due to weather or course conditions to ensure the tournament concludes on schedule.
The Committee has full authority to design the tee time schedule.

RULES OF PLAY:

The tournament will follow the USGA/R&A Rules of Golf, along with the local rules of the Host Club, approved by the appointed Rules Officials.

TOURNAMENT OFFICIALS:

Will be appointed by the Organizing Committee and will enforce the Rules of Golf throughout the event.

OFFICIAL PRACTICE ROUND:

The golf course will be available for official practice rounds on September 17.
More information will be shared about available time slots.
Availability for September 16 will be announced at a later date.

PRIZES

Trophies will be awarded to the top 3 finishers in each division (Boys & Girls).
AJGA PBE Points will be awarded as follows:

BOYS

Champion = Full Exempt
Top 5 = 4 stars
Top 10 = 2 stars
Top 50% = 1 star

GIRLS

Champion = Full Exempt
Top 3 = 4 stars
Top 5 = 2 stars
Top 50% = 1 star

RANKING POINTS

The Nico Open 2025 will award points for the following:

Junior Golf Scoreboard
Junior Golf Hub
Colombian National Amateur (RNA) Junior and Pre-Junior Rankings

PERFORMANCE STATISTICS

During official rounds, players must complete game statistics on the back of their scorecards.
Stat entry is mandatory and must be submitted via the UpGame app. Failing to upload complete round stats is subject to disqualification

This resolution is effective as of July 30, 2025, and will be published on JUNGLE.GOLF, JUNGLE’s social media channels, and other official media.

CHANGES AND/OR MODIFICATIONS

The Organizing Committee reserves the right to make any changes it deems necessary to this resolution.
By completing the registration process, the player agrees to all terms outlined in this announcement.
