Eligibility – Quito Junior Open 2025

Players eligible to participate must be at least 10 years old on the first day of competition, must not have turned 20 by the last day of competition, and must not have started college studies.

Eligibility for Pre-Qualified & Exempt Players – Quito Junior Open 2025

The Ecuadorian Golf Federation Junior and Pre-Junior Rankings, World Amateur Golf Ranking (WAGR), and Rolex AJGA Ranking, as of DD MMMM 2025, will be the main criteria for eligibility.

Top 30 Ecuadorian Golf Federation Junior Ranking
Top 5 Ecuadorian Golf Federation Pre-Junior Ranking
Top 3 juniors in WAGR from each Latin American country

Invitations for Eligible Latin American Girls:

Top 400 WAGR
Top 150 Rolex AJGA Ranking
Top 20 Ecuadorian Golf Federation Junior Ranking
Top 5 Ecuadorian Golf Federation Pre-Junior Ranking
Top 2 juniors in WAGR from each Latin American country

Arrayanes Country Club, as host, has the right to invite 6 eligible players. Deadline to submit players: Friday, September 30, 2025.

NOTE: An invitation does not exempt players from completing the registration and payment process described in this document.

Registration Fee – Quito Junior Open 2025

Open Category Participants: USD $220.00
Younger Categories Participants: USD $140.00

Registration = Player Registration Form + Payment

Registration Procedure for Invited/Exempt Players

Invitations will be sent personally or via local federation before September 12, 2025.
Invitation will include full tournament information.
Registration Opens: August 20, 2025
Registration Closes: September 12, 2025

If an invited/exempt player does not complete registration before the deadline, the organizing committee will notify them, and they must wait for a new invitation.

Registration Procedure – General Players

Opens: September 15, 2025
Closes: October 3, 2025

Ranking Position Priority: WAGR, Rolex AJGA, and Ecuadorian Golf Federation Ranking, prioritizing higher-ranked players.

If registration is not completed by the deadline, participation is subject to availability and players will be notified no later than one week before competition begins.

IMPORTANT: No refunds once the registration process is completed, and the player appears on the official Field list.

Qualifying Tournaments – Quito Junior Open 2025

The Organizing Committee may call qualifying tournaments. Invitations will be published in due time on the official Quito Junior Open 2025 website.

NOTE: The Organizing Committee reserves the right to admit or decline any participant at any stage of registration.

Tournament Format – Quito Junior Open 2025

Stroke play, 54 holes (18 holes per day).
Cut of approximately 40% of the field after 36 holes. The cut will be determined and published by the Organizing Committee along with Round 2 tee times.

Yardages for Open Category: To be announced.

Caddies

Individual caddies are NOT allowed.
Players are responsible for maintaining course conditions.
Push carts or electric carts may be used to carry bags.

Ties

For 1st place in each division: Sudden-death playoff until a winner is determined.
For 2nd/3rd place, or if a sudden-death playoff cannot be held, ties will be broken by scorecards (last day back nine, then holes 13–18, then 16–18, then hole-by-hole from 18 backwards. If still tied, repeat with previous rounds. Final tiebreaker: earliest completed registration).

Tee Times

Published on the official website and at the host club two days before the first round.
The Committee may adjust daily holes due to weather/course conditions.

Rules of Play

USGA/R&A Rules of Golf and Local Rules (approved by Rules Officials).
AJGA Code of Conduct applies: AJGA Code of Conduct.

Rules Officials will be appointed by the Organizing Committee.

PERFORMANCE STATISTICS

During official rounds, players must complete game statistics on the back of their scorecards.
Stat entry is mandatory and must be submitted via the UpGame app. Failing to upload complete round stats is subject to disqualification

Official Practice Round

The course will be available on Wednesday, DD MMMM. Practice tee times will be announced in advance.

Awards

Top 3 places in each Boys and Girls category receive trophies or medals.

AJGA PBE Stars – Open Category Only

Boys: Champion = Full Exempt, Top 5 = 4 stars, Top 10 = 2 stars, Top 50% = 1 star
Girls: Champion = Full Exempt, Top 3 = 4 stars, Top 5 = 2 stars, Top 50% = 1 star

Quito Junior Open 2025 results will count towards:

This resolution shall take effect as of August 20, 2025, when it will be published on the Tournament’s official website and other communication channels:

Changes and/or Modifications
The Tournament Organizing Committee reserves the right to make any changes deemed necessary to this resolution.
By completing the Registration Process for the tournament, the player accepts all conditions stated in this announcement.
